Okay, OKAY - so this isn't actual art!! I just had this idea, it made me laugh so i decided to spread the love and post it so everyone could have a good lol...whether or not you find it funny, well - i guess that depends on your political views, doesn't it?!

For the record, i consider myself to be (albeit a very moderate) socialist. I also hate Stalin and the USSR and everything it stood for...in other words, they DID do it wrong!!

I wanted to put this in a political/humourous category, but they didn't have one...

He did it so wrong we need to class him as a "Pure dictator ship with no power to the people or any open minded person."

Trudat. He did it so wrong, it's debatable whether Stalin's an actual communist.

@RTJDudek

Hmm, don't ever remember denying the Ribbentrop-Molotov Pact. I know that it has been proven (and it's very common knowledge).

As you seem to simply be stalking my comments, insulting me, then blocking me before I can answer (classy), I'll presume your just up for having a go at me.

@MarcN95,

Have a look at your comment here [link] and prove me that your quote "Wow, using an unrelated video game to bash Communism. Well done." is not denying the existence of the Ribbentrop-Molotov pact.

I will also be glad if you deliver me proofs that I stalked you, insulted you and blocked you.

Eh, because no where in that quote did I ever mention the Ribbentrop-Molotov pact, and the post of yours that I was replying to didn't mention it either. I don't see where this popped up from. I am very much aware that the pact was real.

Well you replied to 3 of my posts around deviant all in a short space of time, suggesting that you have been looking for posts by me specifically.

Calling me a "wannabe" is, to me, an insult, as it suggests that my personal political beliefs are flimsy, and that I do it to seem cool.

I had no problem replying to other people and pages, yet when I tried to reply to yours (on several pages) I couldn't, with a message popping up saying that either there's a problem with the site or that the person had blocked me. Funnily enough It's fine now. If I'm mistaken, then my apologies.

Why are you lying ?

And I can say your communist views insult all the victims of communism, especially my grandfather tortured by the NKVD for being Polish Resistance member and his brother murdered in Katyń. Besides, weird you consider yourself as communist and keep capitalist values like dignity - we both know this is betrayal of communist mainstream.

It was not my idea, to give me comment on a page the owner blocked me, so I had to reply elsewhere and you are blaming me for replies. How childish of you, wannabe "comrade".

Question to you, wannabe "comrade":

how can you consider Stalin as evil and deny the Ribbentrop-Molotov Pact ( see here [link] ) at the same time ?

This pact was proven by historians [link]

Lenin wrote in his testament that he was afraid of what would happen if Stalin would rise to power and he was right to do so. I think lenin was a great ruler and if he would have assigned his succesor himself, communism would have been the mainstream social system by now

This is good. :D

Ya, the fact that stalin is still admired in Russia to this day sort of bugs me to. But I personally think that by nature, the Russians admire a strong yet cruel leader, over others. Look at history. You've got Ivan the Terrible, Peter the Great, Catherine, and Stalin. All strong leaders in their own right, but they were not the kind of people you'd want to piss off.

Regardless you were right in correcting me. As I failed in wording that appropriately. I meant to say that yes I dislike socialism, but I also dislike Communism. It is a pointless theory because as I mentioned above, it will never work int his day and age.
Anyhow, my bad. So thank you for correcting me ;D

Well what they perceived to be Communism wasn't true communism... there will never be true communism in the modern world.
But I do dislike socialism, I also dislike democracy. I dislike many things ;p

Thank YOU for the fave!! It's a thorny issue and something that really bothers me - i'm fascinated by Marxist theory and ideology, and align myself with socialism politically, but i sort of feel guilty about doing so. It feels almost dirty or shameful to admit that i admire the theory that, after much twisting and bastardisation, lead to such destruction and misery. He did ruin it for us :(

I think the best thing to do is treat fear as ignorance, which i suppose it really is, and try to explain to people that Marxism is as far away from Stalinism as it is Fascism.

I share your feeling exactly; it's a pity that so many people view socialism and Marxism as something evil. The ideology itself isn't bad; it's merely that people took advantage of the system to gain power and wreck destruction. :(

Precisely so! If human greed and corruption could be factored out of the question, it would be the ideal system.

Perhaps as society goes, that is indeed true. Both nations are caught up in exploitative and risky neo-liberalism - although, the UK has a better welfare system, and we have a National Health Service. I seem to recall congress all but having a fit when Obama so much as mentioned social healthcare.

Also, you clearly don't know much about Stalin! At a death toll of an estimated 60 million people (according to Nikita Krushchev), Stalin may well be the biggest mass murderer in history. Hero for the betterment of humanity indeed.

I don't know why i'm bothering to tell you this; it's not like you're taking it seriously.

Death is a by product of revolution. Stalin formed his Country into a communist superpower which effectively spread the communism ideal to other countries and saved his country from complete destruction from Germany. Communism is the true way towards equality not this far fetched idea of democracy. Why do think our homeland is a superpower now? Communism unites us and makes us powerful.

"I don't know why i'm bothering to tell you this; it's not like you're taking it seriously." Maybe.

I have similar point of view. Stalin was madman, but I think Europe was in need to have guy like him to balance Hitler(another maniac). He also made a few interesting decisions (moving industry behind Ural mountains).

How odd! =P I hope you are not insinuating that i nicked the idea off of you, Comrade? I guess it just means we have similar views regarding Stalin.
It just makes me mad, because every time somebody mentions "Communism" or "Socialism", the average ignorant thinks of ghastly dictators (like Stalin) that commited arocities against their own people. Socialism is nothing if not a Humanitarian philosophy.

Lenin had it going right, but you do bring up a good point concerning Stalin. Two people, however, tried to fix it, and they were Khrushchev and Gorbachev, but they were really powerless. :(

Thanks for the favourite! Yeah, the whole Stalin thing is a real pet peeve of mine. My friends get sick of me talking about Soviet history, but i just find it so facinating. Last year, there was a survey in Russia - something along the lines of "the most noble/admired Russians in history" Stalin was in the top ten. I just felt sickened that a man who had killed 60 million of his countrymen would be admired by so many Russians. He caused a lot of suffering - perhaps more than anyone else in history. Marx would be turning in his grave if he knew what Stalin had done in the name of Marxism.

I only wish Trotsky would have beaten that guy. You're obviously familiar with Animal Farm, so you know the deal. Trotsky was Lenin's right-hand man, and Stalin was a mere foot-soldier who would lie, cheat and steal to get to the top, and with Lenin dead, all he had to do was get Trotsky, which he did unfortunately. From there, shit happened.
